“And it came to pass when the children of men had multiplied that in those days were born unto them beautiful and comely daughters [ and sons ]. And the angels, the children of the heaven, saw and lusted after them, and said to one another, ‘Come, let us choose wives [and husbands] from among the children of men and beget us children.’”
“And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, [And]…the sons [ and daughters ] of God…took them wives [ and husbands ] of all which they chose. There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons [ and daughters ] of God came in unto the [ sons and ] daughters of men, and they bare children to them, [ their children ] became mighty [beings]...”
“And of the Angels, [ the sons and daughters of God, ] a great number of them lusted after the creatures of the earth, and chose mates from them and bore children with them. And from this miscegenation - from this perversion – grotesque(1) beings emerged.”
“And they begat sons [ and daughters ]…and they were all unalike…[ they were ] Giants [ and Titans ]…Nephilim, [ the Elioud(2) ] and the Eljo(3)...”
Compilation from the Apocrypha(4)
“And these angels, who were the Watchers(5) and the Grigori(6), and who begat the Giants, the Nephilim, and the Eljo, taught them divine secrets: of working metal and stone, of enchantments, of astrology, of clouds, and of all the signs of the earth, sun, and moon. And the heavens were divided, as angels turned against their kind and against God.”
“And there we saw the [Green] Giants, the sons [ and daughters ] of Anak, which come of the giants, and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers...”
“Enoch...[said], 'Behold, the Lord is coming with myriads of [ Heavenly Angels ] to execute judgment on everyone, and to convict all the ungodly of every ungodly act of wickedness and every harsh word spoken against Him.'”
“And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against [ the chief angel of the Chiefs of Tens(7), ] the Dragon(8); and the Dragon fought and his angels, and prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great Dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil…which deceiveth the whole world: [s]he was cast out into the earth, and h[er] angels were cast out with h[er].”
“And…an angel [Michael] c[a]me down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit...And he laid hold on the Dragon [ who was Lucifael and Heylel ]…and bound h[er] a thousand years, and cast h[er] into the bottomless pit, and shut h[er] up, and set a [ Great Seal(9) ] upon h[er], that [s]he should deceive the nations no more…till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that [s]he must be loosed a little season.”
“For...God spared not the angels [, the corrupted Grigori and Chiefs of Tens ] that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness...”
"Chiefly the shapes [ and spirits of Damons, and of the Chiefs of Tens, and ] of Titans born of old, and Giants, and all whom the Deluge(11) whelmed, and all that perished in the billowy seas, and all that furnished banquet for the beasts and creeping things and fowls, these in a mass shall [Uriel ] summon to the judgment-seat; and also those whom flesh-devouring fire, destroyed in flame, even these shall he collect..."
“And [ the sons and daughters of men ] shall not lie with the mighty [ Damons and Nephilim ] that are fallen...which are gone down to hell with their weapons of war.”
“For in the old time also, when the [ mighty and prideful ] Giants perished [ in the Great Deluge ], the Hope of the world...escaped in a weak vessel, and left to all ages a seed of generation.”
“By faith Enoch was taken up [ into Heaven ] so that he should not [ experience ] death, and he was not [to be] found, because God had taken him. Before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God.”
“And then Enoch disappeared and none of the sons of men knew where he was hidden, where he was, or what had happened. And all of his doings were with the Holy Ones, and with the Watchers, in his days.”
We should an Enochian tale unfold ~ a story in History quite complete, yet so appalling that even angels dare whisper the whole of it and try their very tongues. For those who have yet heard this history, and of the many trials of Lazarus ~ and who dare lend a bent and hardened ear to hear ~ then let him hear it in full. In the beginning ~ as it came to pass ~
Prologue Page ~ Grotesque: A Gothic Epic
~Adapted Scriptural Footnotes:
“And in those days there were giants upon the earth, and they sought Noah to take away his life...”
“And Enoch beheld angels descending out of heaven, bearing testimony...and many were caught up by the powers of heaven...”
“And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt [ with the seed of the Grigori, the Nephilim, the Elioud and Eljo ], for all [ grotesque Damon(10) ] flesh had corrupted its way upon the earth.”
1-grotesque - In context: Collectively, the Damons. Damons are primarily entities not fashioned by God's Hand during the original days of Creation. These include the Nephilim, Elioud and Eljo, and all other mythical creatures of divine or abominable design, created through forbidden unions between Grigori and Man, beasts, and other earthly elements. (e.g.: Grotesque: A Gothic Epic is a medieval epic saga of these precise grotesque Damons as seen through the eyes of our gothic hero, Lazarus Gogu, who is himself a Damon Elioud, a Grotesque, and an Eljo (see: Eljo).
2-Elioud - In context: Also referred to as 'Eljo' in Apocryphal manuscripts. Those Damons who posses various combinations of beastly, and angelic features and qualities. Grotesque or grotesque-like in nature, but mostly with little to no human characteristics. Chimeric, yet with combined beastly features only ( e.g. Griffin or Sphinx ).
3-Eljo - In context: As named in the Book of Jubilees. A distinct class of 'Elioud.. Those Damons who posses various combinations of human, beastly, and angelic features and qualities. Grotesque or grotesque-like in nature, but mostly with human appearance and qualities. Chimeric, yet with mostly or completely human features. (e.g.: Lazarus Gogu).
4-Apocrypha - In context: Canonical books ordered censored and hidden away by the Holy See for its controversial subject matter. Derived from the Greek word apokryphos, meaning 'cryptic, hidden, secret'.
5-Watchers – Both imprisoned and banished Earthly Angels who rebelled against Heaven, as opposed to Heavenly Angels. (see: Grigori for further distinction.) These were a third part of the Angels who were originally tasked by God as “Watchers of the World”, and who tended earthly affairs. Since the rebellion, all Watchers not condemned to Tartarus (see:Tartarus) were forbidden to walk the earth in flesh, and dwell among men. Those Watchers not condemned to Tartarus, were banished from Heaven, yet allowed to continue their original duties upon the earth, but only in spirit form. (e.g. Oceanus and Tethys are Watchers banished from Heaven; however, they still perform their duties as Watchers over the Seas and Fresh Waters of the world. Apollo is a Watcher of Travelers, and must bring good fortune and good will anonymously and without credit to himself. Homonedeus and Bestimedeus are banished Watchers, yet they must continue to replace life from clay, for both man and beast. Demeter is a banished Watcher, yet she must continue to care for the harvests, the seasons, fertility, and the fields and forests. In summary, a third part of all angels were “Watchers of the World”. Of them, a portion was truly wicked and condemned to Tartarus. After the Great Deluge cleaned the earth of Damons, and because of the seed of corruption between the union of angel and man, angels (Heavenly Angel or Earthly Watcher) were never again permitted to dwell among man, in the flesh, but only in spirit.
6-Grigori – Also the corrupted Watchers who were cast into Hades, with the Great Seal placed over them (see: Great Seal). Distinction made that most Watchers were not imprisoned in Hades, but were simply banished from Heaven, and forbidden to dwell openly, in the flesh, in the company of Man. Only the most wicked ( e,g,: the Grigori and the Chiefs of Tens), were sealed away from the world until a time of Divine Judgment.
7-Chiefs of Tens – Those tribal heads of the corrupted Watchers (the Grigori) who rebelled against God and Creation, fashioned evil against Man, and were cast down into Tartarus (see: Tartarus) and whose former flesh was banished from the sight of the world. (refer to: Enoch 68:2)
8-Dragon - In context: The Angel Lucifael (Morningstar or Heylel), and chief angel of the fallen Chiefs of Tens7. Otherwise known as: Angel of Light and Beauty, and once headmost angel of God.
9-Great Seal – A divine mechanism crafted by the Hand of God prior to the Great Deluge, and consisting of three independent monoliths (gatestones) inscribed with angelic tongue, which keep the corrupt and imprisoned Watchers from escaping Hades. These three gatestones work together as a sealed gate, much like three dependent tumblers of a single lock. During the final days of the War of Angels, they were individually forged in, what is now known as Central China, France, and Central Italy.
10-Damon – An unnatural being or entity not created during the Lord's Original Days of Creation. A physical or spiritual form that is forbidden to walk the earth in the flesh, and in the company of man. Since the Elioud and Eljo are distinctly Grigori-human hybrids, Lazarus would likewise fall under this classification (see also: grotesque).
11-Great Deluge – The method used to clean the face of the world of of the corrupted seed of the Grigori, Nephilim, Elioud and Eljo was a world-encompassing flood that drowned all corrupted flesh, ensuring a return to the original flesh of man and beast as originally designed by the Lord in the Days of Creation. Following this 'Great Flood', the angels were then forbidden by the Throne to walk the earth in the flesh, among His 'newly-washed' Creation.
12-Tartarus – Also considered Hell or Hades. A region of imprisonment guarded by a Great Seal9 of three divinely created Gatestones, forged ahead of the Great Deluge (see: Great Deluge).

Completely, they were the Damons: those Fallen Angels and Grotesques that Caused a Great Deluge to Wash Over the World.
They were a third part of the Children of God ~ those corrupted earthly angels tasked as caretakers of Creation. It came to pass, that Man and His children worshiped these seditious angels and their hideous offspring as gods and goddesses, calling them, Grigori ~ the Watchers.
There were all manner of creatures, beasts and mythical beings, cursed and damned, both great and small, with names and faces forever passed on in ancient legend and lore...
...yet, then there was... Lazarus.
...all sorts of creeping, crawling and flying abominations infinitely deserving of damnation ~ with all of them rightfully scrubbed from the corrupted face of the world and swiftly slung into the deepest, darkest regions beneath the earth...
